Steam Turbine Blading & Parts, LLC was
formed January 13, 2003. The owners and principal managing
team are Essie Noori, Jesse Llewellyn, Stephen Stevens, David
Meyer, James Harris, Michael Dorrel, Daniel Sanchez, and Cesar
Siordia.
The company is primarily involved in the manufacture
of turbine blades and turbine parts for the steam and gas
turbine industry. The parts consist of valve stems and bushings,
packing seals, fasteners and other components, which generally
require extremely close tolerances and extra fine finishes.
The parts are manufactured as per the reverse engineering
method: that means it needs a sample of the old to manufacture
new parts.
Steam Turbine Blading & Parts, LLC is the
sole supplier for steam turbine blades, gas turbine compressor
blades, seals and most associated rotation and stationery
components to Steam & Gas Turbine Repair Services, LLC:
it also supplies the above parts to the after market end user
(utilities) and industrial turbine owners, service shops and
consulting companies.
To adequately understand the formation of Steam
Turbine Blading & Parts, LLC it is necessary to know the
history of two other companies: Steam, LLC and Steam &
Gas Turbine Repair Services, LLC.
Steam & Gas Turbine Repair Services, LLC
was founded by Jesse Llewellyn, David Meyer, and James Harris
in January 2000. It was primarily involved in the specialty
type of repairs on steam and gas turbines. Repairs consisted
of on-site machining of turbine components. They supplied
and installed turbine parts. They also did weld repairs on
turbine cases and diaphragms. The company operated out of
a small shop in Corona, CA., later moving to a larger 6000
square foot building in the same town. The company grew at
a fast pace and required a larger shop facility. In July 2002
the company moved to their present location, a 12,000 square
foot building in Ontario, CA.
Essie Noori founded Steam, Inc. in January 1998
as an engineering and consulting company for turbine generator
systems. The company was located in Thousand Oaks, CA. Because
of other interests the company did not become active until
April 2001. The growth of the company was rapid and there
became a great need for a larger space and for managerial
structure. In July 2002 the company changed from a corporation
to a LLC. The partners were Essie Noori, Michael Dorrel, Daniel
Sanchez, and Cesar Siordia. They were primarily involved in
on-site engineering, repair and maintenance for turbine generators
and rotors.
Both companies continued to grow at a fast pace.
On January 1, 2003 Steam, LLC and Steam & Gas Turbine
Repair Services, LLC merged, combining the services of both
companies. They operate out of the Ontario, CA location. Market
demands dictated the need for a new company to manufacture
turbine blades and parts. A study was performed and northern
Nevada was determined to be the best location to establish
the company and shop facility. Thus, Steam Turbine Blading
& Parts, LLC was formed and a 10,000 square foot building
was purchased in Minden, NV.
