Steam & Gas is primarily involved in the specialty type of repairs on steam and gas turbines. These repairs consist of on-site machining of turbine components i.e. rotor shafts, seals and other components, which generally require extremely close tolerances and extra fine finishes. We also do weld repairs on turbine cases; diaphragms and we supply and install turbine parts.

Customer Base

Most of our customers are in the power generation industry and include the major utilities as well as the cogeneration, geothermal and independent power producers. We also service industrial users including refineries, petrochemical and others.

Competition

We compete with all of the turbine repair companies, which range from the OEM’s; GE, Westinghouse as well as the various smaller companies. Our core competency is field machining, which is a small portion of the work our competitors are involved in. We do it better and quicker than the competition.
